This policy covers the website chartcompassdaily.pages.dev, the Chart Compass Academy game, and ChartBot, the software the channel owner uses to publish videos to the Chart Compass Daily YouTube channel.

Who we are

Chart Compass Daily is run by one individual. Contact: contact via the YouTube channel About page.

Website and Academy

• No account, sign-in or personal information is needed to use the site or the game.
• Game progress (levels, stars, points, language) is stored only in your own browser's local storage on your device. It is never sent to us. Clearing your browser data deletes it.
• We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. Our host, Cloudflare, may count anonymous page views and keep standard security logs (for example IP addresses) under the Cloudflare Privacy Policy.

ChartBot and YouTube API Services

ChartBot uses YouTube API Services. By interacting with our YouTube channel you are also subject to the YouTube Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy.

ChartBot is used only by the channel owner and is authorised only for the owner's own Google account. Through the YouTube API it:

• uploads the channel's own videos, captions and thumbnails and adds them to the channel's playlists;
• reads the public comments left on the channel's own videos, posts replies as the channel, and holds obvious spam on our own videos for the owner's review;
• checks whether a commenter is publicly subscribed to our channel, only to word the reply;
• reads the channel's own public statistics (subscribers, views) for a weekly report to the owner, and updates the channel's own description and banner.

Data we store: the access token for the owner's own account, stored encrypted on the owner's computer; and the text, author name and channel ID of public comments on our own videos, kept on that computer to count coin requests, reply, and translate comments for the owner. This comment data is deleted automatically after 30 days. We do not collect data from any other YouTube account, and we never sell, share or transfer YouTube data to anyone.

Third parties: comment text may be sent to Google's Gemini API to translate it or draft a reply. It is not used for any other purpose.

Revoking access and deleting data

Access granted to ChartBot can be revoked at any time on the Google third-party connections page (also at security.google.com/settings/security/permissions). When access is revoked, the stored token stops working and is deleted. To have a comment of yours removed from our local data, email contact via the YouTube channel About page; we delete it within 7 days.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes too.
